Blaze Simmons, Gunnar Simmons, it all fits so well.  These names are so perfect for the boy but they are too perfect.  They are like comic book perfect which will not work.  I also got Richard Simmons...and Diane Simmons when I decided to go unisexual.  Sigh.  His name is so normal I guess there's nothing hyperawesome to come up with.  Maybe Trent

Gunnar is a great name. It's an awesome old Viking name and means "battle". And it sounds like "gunner", so it's all explody and awesome like that.
I don't know who you're naming, though. Maybe Gunnar is a bit too explody for him.

Garrett is also good but Gareth is even better, it just sounds nicer. Or something.
