And yeah, years down the line for me, it really did suck, but that was pretty much my entire public school career really

Been there and you're right, your mother is wrong. Even it the girl's reasons have to do with the reunion, no need to stir up more hate.

And IMO, even if that is the reason she thought of you and how she behaved, well she could have decided to ignore you and it. But she didnt'. Up to you,l obv, if you accept or reply to her apology or just let it go.

w0w. I can't imagine having a tormentor send a message like that. I would be like you and really not know what to do with it. You can't really say, "It's okay, we're cool"...well, because it isn't and you're not... but you can't go the other way too because that just rings of you're holding on too tight to this.

Your mum is totally wrong. I was pretty much you all through school, sisters I swear, baby. So I completely understand how you felt and feel now looking back. I've had my share of 'sorries' as well and they don't make it better, but it's nice to know people grow into better people than they were.

But I also know some of the people who were awful to me had a miserable, terrible, terrifying time growing up. Bullying and nastiness aren't symptoms of a happy or strong person, the weak bully people they see as weaker than them, to build them up. Now that you're stronger than them AND they know it, it's no time to lower yourself down.
