hi! wonderful icons, really. can i ask a question? i mean, you don't have to answer or anything, and i'm not looking to see the psd file, but i'm just wondering how you get that rich ashy dark coloring to come out in some of these beauts.

It's pretty much just a combination of channel mixer, levels, curves and contrast, then a grey fill layer set to multiply and the white blob lighten layer. Somehow, in the layering of it all, it causes certain colors to look sharper around the edges so I don't sharpen the images themselves.
