No, not those large brown mammals that inhabit North America, but the band, also from North America - Brooklyn to be precise. yeaaaaah hells yeah man this album is the GOODS - feeling enchanted by it is a real nice and accurate description of its powers! i would also like to make mention of department of eagles and suggest if you haven't got into the album In Ear Park' yet then you probably should!

yeah i do like what i've heard of In Ear Park. i shall endeavour to get my hands on the whole thing. that track 'no one does it like you' has the same kinda haunting yet surprising pop melodicism i love about Veckatimest

this one's a grower like RSL - it took me about three or four listens before i was hooked. i haven't been listening to much else this last week - grizzly bear has been on such high rotation!

also, i don't think the Friends EP is the best introduction to the band because from memory it's mostly covers of their songs by other bands. i'd also definitely recommend checking out their previous album Yellow House, but it's by no means necessary to do so before hearing this album.
