I know what you mean about wanting to leave the country rather than stay with all this happening. We were talking to the First Minister of Wales (which, first of all, the number of important officials I have met just by dint of being an American visiting abroad is weird), and he was talking to us about Welsh political stuff and asked if we had any questions, and it was so tempting to ask "how easy is it to immigrate?"
It's kinda hard to take all this seriously sometimes. Partially because it's completely ridiculous that they're doing this at all. The country has so many pressing economical issues if they're bored. And partially because if you do take it seriously, it is legitimately scary.
