I watched the first 3 episodes of Doctor Who, featuring Christopher Eccleston.

Oh, the quirk. How I LOVE the quirk. He is adorable. I've only really ever seen him as a villain (especially in Elizabeth), so this was a pleasant surprise ( Read more... )

you'd be amazed how many 'northern' accents there really are. it's pretty interesting how widely they vary by region.

Isn't he the best? I absolutely adore him. I haven't even seen the new season with David Tennant yet, but as good as he may be, I don't think there's any possible way I could love him nearly as much as Eccleston.

The scripts for two were CRAP and I think that was where it all started going wrong. Even lovely Billie couldn't work with it ;__;

He's so like, cute! I've seen him as a bad guy so many times I couldn't even imagine him as a nice guy.

I've watched those three too. Borrowed them from my library :)
I haven't seen Eccleston in anything else and thought he was great. But I've seen Tennant in more and I'm a n00b at Dr Who so Ten in my Dr Who. I did watch some on TV a while ago with Sylvester someone, I think. I don't know what number doctor he was but that was funny. I love watching old TV shows and seeing how absolutely dodgy it is.

LOL so cute! World Wide Web. Is that your mum? Adorable!

Haha yeah old TV shows are really funny to watch sometimes, especially Sci-Fi shows because the special effects are sooo bad hahaha.

Apparently they're going to be showing the Tennant Dr Who here starting next month, so then I can compare and contrast :D

as stated above, he's a lancashire boy. BUT lanc is a big area, so to be more specific, he's from salford which is the city butted up against manchester, and sometimes confused as part of manchester. this may be why i love him so very much, too. apparently, he was spotted wearing a football scarf of my favourite little team, fc united of manchester. THAT made me love him forever (if it's true).

i'm glad you have discovered him and his series of doctor who. it's the fucking best, isn't it? wait til you get to see 'the empty child' episode. creepy as hell, especially when you remember that they recently found an undetonated bomb from the london blitz.

i am working on downloading the tennant episodes. they have gotten rave reviews.

Haha awesome! I don't know what it is about that specific accent, but I really love it. It's sumfin about the wah-ee they towk haha.

According to this they'll be showing the Tennant episodes on Sci-Fi channel starting next month, so I guess I'll wait to see them.

P.S. Did you hear that they're doing a Friar's Club Roast of William Shatner on Comedy Central in a few weeks?

well, that's the accent i was around for a long time :) kevin still has it a bit, but he traveled a lot when he was younger and he says he now has what he calls a 'university accent'. like monty python guys. i'll let him explain that one to you, i guess. he's a nutter.

i thought they did william shatner a year or so ago. is it a rerun?

Eccleston was in Elizabeth? Man, I miss everything.

But yes, Doctor Who is love. Wait 'til you get to "Father's Day" and "The Empty Child."
