ETA4: SOOOO...Jacob was looking for his replacement, but apparently he has been alive FOREVER. So why look for a replacement when you don't die? Did he know this was going to happen?
ETA5: So perhaps the fight between Jacob and Smokey mirrors the fight between Ben and Widmore...
ETA6: Did anyone else notice the lady interviewing Locke before Rose (asking about the animal thing) was the same lady who was the psychic Hurley's dad took him to? Ha!
ETA8: Smokey said that they had 3 choices about the island - do nothing, take over, or leave. He said Locke did nothing when he crossed his name off the cave wall. Locke seems like he did A LOT (moving the island, etc etc) so what was up with that?
