Go, Archers!

I finally got the official call; I'm now a La Sallian. Call me geek, but somehow I've managed to get myself worked up (blame my cousin and his infectious rah, MBA spirit). What's great about DLSU's MBA program, I discovered, is that classes are only held once a week, making the schedule extremely convenient for the working student. I intend to ( Read more... )

I actually passed UP MBA, but their schedule was so crappy and inconvenient that I decided to go with La Salle...that, and the fact that recent events have reminded me of how incompetent some people in UP can get, plus I need a change of scenery. Besides, I've found out that in the business world, bilib ang mga tao sa MBA ng DLSU :)

Congratulations! I'm on residency this term so I won't be able to run into you. It's great to be on campus after work...there are less undergrads around to drive you nuts!! Hehe.

The DLSU library is great...if only cos you get access to JSTOR, an online archive of academic journals. It's AMAZING.

Hope you enjoy your first term!

Paula! I was just reading your journal a few minutes ago :) I knew you were taking classes in International Relations, but I didn't realize it was at La Salle! In which campus did you use to take classes? Are you already doing your thesis?

I'm not sure how often I'll be able to access it, since I imagine the best collections would be in Taft, but everyone says DLSU has the BEST library -- I have yet to see.

Sad that you're on residency right now, it'd be great to see a friendly face around. (You know how UP people can be when they learn you're taking classes in other schools.) Thanks for the encouragement :)

I go to the Taft campus. I have 2 classes left before comprehensive exams. Only after passing those do I get to do my thesis, so I'll still be in school a while :)

You get access to JSTOR even from home! Just click here: http://www.dlsu.edu.ph/library/wam_subscription.asp

Amazing. You can also do a search on the WebOPAC on that website!

UP also had a WebOPAC search back when we were students there, it's a little known fact but it's there (I'm pretty sure it still is). Definitely useful :)

The thought of having to take any OCE is kind of scary, but I figure I still have at least a couple of years before I have to worry about those. I might eventually have to take classes in Taft, too, although I'm really hoping I don't since I wouldn't want to have to deal with Taft traffic. (I still vividly remember by UP Manila days.)
