I'm thinking season 6 begins with Sam out there hunting, while Dean thinks he's dead. Meanwhile, Dean is trying not to hunt, to keep the promise his little brother wanted him to make. Maybe Castiel and Sam hunting, trying to keep Dean safe?
Me too. Obvsly there was some God-squading going on, since you know Sam's not in hell & all. But he doesn't want to screw up D's chances at just once, having Normal. He hooks up w/ Cas b/c he knows @ least Cas gets it, to an extent. & if he went to see Bobby, there wouldn't be a guarantee Bobby could keep Sam's secret (even though there's the whole Bobby-and-Dean-don't-see-each-other thing)
But maybe Bobby finds out anyway. I can definitely see him smacking Sam and calling him an idjit.
