This is so wonderfully feel-good. Just reading it made me grin and bounce a little. I love Sam "persuading" Dean onto the carousel.

And 'something he'll never forget' sounds mighty damn good, especially now.

I am torn between weeping and a gooey smile. :):

Sam's already opening a candy apple; he bites into it and the slick coating crackles and splinters. Dean watches the little bits of red sugar flake off and stick to his brother's mouth.
