Okay, so signing up for polybigbang actually might NOT have been a totally horrible idea! I say this because: I signed up on the 15th. It is now the 18th. That is three days. In those three days, I have written over 5k (and will probably hit 6k before the night is out), and the fest only has a 10k minimum

That would be lovely! The sequel is basically, 'so finally Hermione does what everyone wanted her to do in the first fic.' Because otherwise I would have no poly in my story, lol.

Lol this is the real reason my betas do their thing. They seldom end up changing much, because I self-edit a lot as I write, but they get the sneak preview. XD I'm on to them.

trying to find an entry that wasn't inception fic turned out to be more difficult than i thought.

one: i read devotion. i loved it. it's one of those fics i go back and read probably once or twice a week, just soak in the atmosphere of it and think for a while. it's a soak-in-the-bath sort of fic, and i love it. maybe because i love that verse so much, who knows.

two: i read the snippet you wrote. it was sort of out of the blue for me, a verse i don't usually dabble in because it's just so hard to play without being upset about the past (for reasons i'm sure you understand). cass especially is a painful character for me now. but i wrote something for you, a slow-thinking sort of snippet because i couldn't get the words out right. you can find it here, if you're so inclined

Yeah, sorry, Inception has eaten my brain.

1) I'm glad you liked Devotion. The current big bang I'm editing is actually the sequel to that, though it doesn't get posted until... October, I think? Fall, anyway.

2) Idk where it came from either, honestly. I was sitting around the hotel room in Morocco with a notebook and it just sort of... happened. I miss playing with you, you know. And the Morag snippet is lovely, very her.

3) Good luck on the fest fic. Is it a long one, or the usual 1k-word minimum sort of exchange fest? (Funny how writing three Big Bangs has changed my standards, that I not consider anything under like 5k to be "short").

4) Look, obvious we have seriously had our differences. And we're probably not going to end up being close friends again. But all that doesn't mean that I, like, never want to talk to you again or something, or that I don't still love your characters. If you ever want to play... just give me a ping. I'm here.
