I might steal this at some point, but it always seems like when I go to write those however-many "things about you" memes I can never think of anything to include. lol.
And I know exactly what you mean, regarding the meme. I spent ages trying to think of the five most important things that happened to me this year, as it hasn't been an incredibly eventful year. *g* I'd love to read your version, though, if you do end up snagging it. :)
Heh, that's okay, I doubt that I would be a great student ;p I don't have that great an ear for languages, which is why I haven't actively pursued learning another language, but my obsession with Basterds has made me not focus so much on that insignificant detail ;P
Cheers, hon. And while I love Basterds to tiny little pieces, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, specifically to people who aren't fans of gore. You're pretty much safe with two of the storylines (the two which I happen to be the most obsessed with), because they aren't all that violent. However, when the story focuses on Brad Pitt and his merry bunch of Nazi killers, there are a few scenes that are very ultra-violent, even for a Tarantino movie.
So yes, I would recommend it, because aside from the violence, the acting is superb it's funny, it can be incredibly sad, and it's extremely well-written. Hell, I'm jealous of the way Tarantino built tension in a few of the scenes, just by the use of language. And it uses a Bowie song. You can't go wrong with that ;P
