There is absolutely nothing about this relationship that isn't heartbreaking. ): I don't find your dialogue choices melodramatic at all to be honest; this is an intense relationship, it makes sense to me that pretty much everything between them is going to be weighted and filled with significance.

Very well done, and I especially like Anders' obvious disdain for the dog. ;)

I've concluded that I'm a masochist. I can't get enough of these angsty type fics involving Hawke and Anders even though they just end up breaking my heart. Very well written anon, made me sadpanda reading it /sigh

Very well written. I'm in love with this angsty/heartbreaking fics ;A;

By the way, you didn't sound very melodramatic to me, don't worry. I think the dialog fits the mood of the situation :)

I too am a fan of Anders romance-novel speak. He totally works it and my Hawke is putty in his hands.

Very nice job on the fic. I thought your dialogue sounded very natural for the type of relationship they have, not overdone.

“With him around… I am always halfway gone.”

Oh, my heart. My poor, broken heart. The Andersmance keeps stomping on it with big stompy boots. This is wonderful, captures the obsessiveness and desperation of the relationship. There's no way it can be anything but horribly emotionally dependent and tragic.
