Like I said on the Rayne Exchange, it's great seeing you take a chance and doing something different. I thought you were successful in this attempt. :D I thought it was great, and both were in character. Especially River. It wouldn't make sense for her to be completely healed right after BDM.

Aww, thank you! :D I really, really appreciate the feedback.

I'm so bad at angst, so was trying to stay as in-character as possible, but still write a sort of wrenching, evocative fic. It wasn't quite what I wanted, but I think it accomplished what it was supposed to.

And yay for in character. I love writing River, but sometimes I'm not quite sure if I get her voice down just right.

Still getting used to the pairing, but quite honestly this was simply excellent. The notion of Jayne actually just getting her to be that cathartic-wow. Just stunned.
