Aww, that's so sad. I'm usually not affected by angsty fics. But this one made my heartache. Especially the last sentence.

Thanks for the comment. I usually don't read or write angst because I'm way too affected, but I felt that Rayne has just as much potential to be dark and tortured as it does to be cute with all the "childlike wonder" they might have.

I know it's a compliment that it affected you, but I almost want to apologize! Gah, I'm made of sugar and bits of fluff.

Anyway, thanks again! :)

I was affected in a good way. Don't worry.

Thank you very much for the comment.

Yes, a lot of Rayne-fic is very fluffy; I think that might come if a relationship ever happened, but not at first. I try to write them realistically and that definitely comes with a lot of darkness.

I'm glad you took a chance and read even though you're not a big Rayne fan; and I'm glad that my drabble skills haven't rusted. I love writing drabbles.

Thanks again! :)

OoOoOo Dark angsty Rayne. I always like dark Rayne. This was awesome. ♥

Hee. Thanks for the comment! I've sort of gotten more into darker Rayne fics lately. Not very dark (as I'm still a happy-ending-sunshiney sort o' gal), but I haven't been able to write a lot of fluff lately.

Thanks again; I'm glad you liked it! :D

This sounds crazy, but there's hope for these two. Hate isn't the opposite of love, indifference is. If there are strong emotions present, there's still hope.

Yes! Oh, I agree completely. The opposite of love certainly isn't hate. I've always loved a Nathaniel Hawthorne quote that says something about them... being from the bottom of the same barrel? No, the same thing at bottom, I think. Can't remember exactly. That emotion is so strong - it could turn on its head.

Whoof! I'm gettin' rambly. Hee. Thanks very much for the comment.

Wow. It's kind of amazing how just 100 words can be so powerful. I really love this. Everything just seems to ring so true. Great job!

Ahh, thank you for the comment! I'm glad you liked it. I really enjoy writing drabbles so it's good to know I'm doing them pretty well. Hee.

Whoa! River, honey, what did you do?

There is so much crammed into so few words here. It's so Jayne, and it's even so River to passively keep it all inside (until one day she explodes).

Thanks for the comment.

I love writing drabbles so I'm glad I can fill 'em up. I really did try to capture one hard, charged feeling - so it's good to know that it worked. And yay! I'm glad I got the characters right, too.

Thanks again!
