On the other claw, the insane deductibles and copays and premiums on most healthcare plans tend to outweigh the benefits, until you reach the age at which the meat suit failures begin to stack.

That's true ... but it's also by design. It used to be that the insurance company could look at you personally, make a careful judgement about how well your meat suit was functioning, and charge you accordingly. Really nice when you're in your twenties. But as I said in the previous posting, one of the points of Obamacare is to have the healthy subsidize the sick.

If we had real Socialized Medicine(TM), we'd still have what you observe, except the costs would be in your tax bill ... and we'd also have the rich subsidize the poor.
