Definitely Eowyn! In canon, Arwen simply exists. She does nothing except make Aragorn's standard when he becomes king. Whereas Eowyn is a heroic figure, and her scene killing the Witch King never fails to make me weep when I read it.

Arwen is a pretty static character in the books; she's the symbol of the dusk of elvendom. Unlike Galadriel she never has to make a big decision regarding power; I'm with you here, Eowyn is the fabulously flawed heroine (although I should go find some femmeslash now).

Faith. She's messed up, but leaning. Echo is perfect. She can be an expert in whatever she needs to be.

Willow. She grows such much during the series. Yeah, she does some sucktastic things, but I like her more than Buffy.
