I completely understand your wanting to just have friends read your journal--in fact, that's why I never got an LJ account of my own, because I would only want certain people reading it. You're perfectly welcome to continue reading, but even if you don't actually WRITE in an LJ account, you would have to acquire an LJ account in order to read. :) If you ever do that, just tell me and I'll add you to my friend's list, because I certainly consider you a trusted friend and have no issues sharing stuff with you.
