It was probably all the alcohol we had last night, but I had some spectacularly awful nightmares. And it really shouldn't have been like that, because we watched Ratatouille and various scenes from the LOTR movies, but no, instead of processing it into cute dreams about rats and LOTR porn, my brain decided to delight me with some viscerally

I LOVE yams. We eat yams once a week as a side, I think.

Oh, and I meant to answer your question here. I bake them in the oven till the fork enters (and hopefully exits) smoothly. It takes a while-- 45-60 minutes.

I should elaborate that it had an actual clutch/separate stick shift. :) The one thing that excited me was that I was all: "Yay, I apparently learned how to drive stick shift!" :)

Maggie is currently cutting yams up into thin fry-like slices, placing them on a cookie sheet, painting them with oil and spices, and preparing to bake them. Mmm.
