Boring, boring...

Life ekes along. Went and saw Pride & Prejudice last night. I know some people hated it, but I enjoyed it. I'm not a huge Austen freak, and though I read the book, it was a really long time ago, so I couldn't tell how faithful (or not) it was being. So I liked it. Pretty scenery! Long moony pans of Keira Knightley's dreamy face. Good times, good ( Read more... )

I could tell you the lines that weren't in the book. They changed a lot to make it suitable for today's audiences. I liked it though, I realize that that what had to be done.

The 1995 version with Colin Firth is a good adaptation.

They all make it look so clean back then. A great adaptation that shows all the grime and stays true to the script is BBC's version of Persuasion.

More than you want to know I'm sure.

I return to my geek hole.

Actually, I was thinking about that too - everyone's perfect teeth! ;) During the ball, I was thinking about what a hellhole of BO an actual ball would have been. :) So yeah, I notice little things like that.

Now I want to re-read P&P... it's around here, somewhere! :)

of course there's roy orbison wrapped in clingfilm!

spike isn't as bad as he used to be, but he used to be absolutely obsessed with getting out and i can tell you that it all stemmed from a time when we actually let him out. once he had a taste, he couldn't get enough! be warned. i absolutely have to be around when fix it guys come to the house to out of my total paranoia of losing the cats.

Yeah, my thought was that having been outside and dying of starvation out there, Chip wouldn't want to get back out, but apparently, he does. :/
