Ok, I'm posting this to ask the moderators about posting spoilers here. No offense, but since even the Chinese version is already at vol. 4, I thought I would like to share some spoilers with the community.

Only complaint is: Why didn't the scriptwriter write half the stuff in here into the anime instead of giving us video clips?

Morosawa was too busy plotting evil things to write the rest of the script. So we had to have clips. Though I don't know why anyone would really want the storyline of The Edge animated.

True. It's more emotional based. But, imagine if they did a drama CD on it..

The anime was fucked because we have a shit director and writer. It is that simple.

"Oh I know, I'll pick my wife to write my animes! Can't go wrong"

"Oh Honey.. your work is kinda late you know.."
"FUCK YOU! NO BLOWJOBS FOR A MONTH!"
"...yes honey..."

AKA the anime got raped because a guy hired a penis inserting device rather than a real writer.

It's quite likely a lot of what's in The edge was infact how it was ment to go (Shinn VS Athrun is a lot more indepth in The edge I believe for example).

I like all the extra Shinn attention in The Edge, but towards the end, a lot got cut off (er, Vol 5, since I have all the volumes in Jap) because it was all about Athrun's POV. Meer's death seemed so dumb in the manga compared to the anime, considering that they had the DOM pilots as extra bodyguards with them.

There was talk about Morosawa having a fight with SuzuKen and Shindou, so she pretty much kicked out Shinn and Cagalli towards the end of the anime. Not sure if it's really true though. *shrugs*

Because the manga was being written after events in the anime, so they had time to change things around.

Well, as for the last part, I thought that they would have to include a lot of it in the manga, since Athrun was around (Meer's death e.g.). Shinn's appointment to FAITH (along with you-know-who) is in the Edge - Desire.

Many apologies for the late reply!!

Unfortunately, with adjusting to full time work, living alone, and a rather full social calendar on weekends, I haven't been able to spend a lot of time online/on the computer (and truthfully, am not really inclined to do so after having to stare at a computer screen for 9 hours a day at work). naoekun, I believe, is going through a stressful period right now, so it's also understandable that she's been a bit absent of late.

In any case, as long as spoilers are clearly marked and behind an LJ cut, I see no reason why people would object to them being posted on this comm.

Well, with that, I post my first spoiler: Meer doesn't go psychotic when Athrun asks her to come along during the defection. Instead, she just tells Athrun to go and don't worry about her, but not before defending her wish to stay behind.

Now, if they would just make drama CDs of this series...
