no one answered my admiration vs. attraction question. it's okay, i get it. talking about mutilating the genitalia of rapists is more interesting than romance. i'm with you on that one.

Ted and I loled heartily.

I just love the idea of a gnashing vagina. For some reason it pleases me so. :D

yeah it's probably not your type of movie. btw i saw the remake of "pride and prejudice" last week and thought of you. in spite of myself, i really liked it. waaay too romantic to be good for me, but nice nonetheless. :)

what is the difference between attraction and admiration? (purely hypothetical, of course...)

Hmm. Attraction seems to suggest a significant sexual (and perhaps emotional attraction); admiration suggests the same things, but it seems disassociated. Like, I admire Angelina Jolie and sex might be hot with her, but I'm much more attracted to boyfriends than her. The same would go for Alan Rickman, even though I lust him so. :P

makes sense. i think i'm overthinking it, and i don't really trust my feelings. i mean, in a hypothetical sense, of course. or maybe i just don't want to be attracted to this person. romance is so confuzzling!

admiration is wanting to be like someone or thinking they are really cool, attraction involves liking that person so much that you want to do them.

so I saw "teeth"...that is one crazy weird movie...and as a femenist I didn't enjoy it's outlook, because it was that stereotyped all men are rapists, and women should use their sexuality as a weapon to punish them. nothing of real femenism where a woman reclaims her sexuality for her own pleasure...oh no..only for the cutting off of penis.

please excuse my misspelling of feminist and feminism.
