With the release of the lovely Grimmauld Place set this year and an abundance of canonical Christmas material, it seems such a shame that it didn't, so with the magic of Mecabricks, let's just pretend it did ( Read more... )

Close. Not a stack. Matches the source material design so you can extend the table to fit all the new characters.

Thanks, beffey. ❤️ It's an interesting design constraint. There have been four lego Harry Potter advent calendars so far with an average of 312 pieces total (if we divide by the 24 days, that's an average of 13 pieces a day) and between six and eight minifigs. I'm trying to come up with something they might have actually been able to produce, had they wished, so it's an added design challenge I've set myself. Often when people design their fantasy sets, there's a sort of inflation that takes place, especially when the design is digital and doesn't cost anything but extra time, which doesn't seem very fair as comparisons go, so I'm trying to keep that in check.

Ideally when the little builds are all put together, it would yield a satisfying result, both for kids to play with as is and for older fans to populate their 12 Grimmauld Place sets. We'll see how it goes.
