To be honest, at first read I was a little confused and upset at why Remus was being such a bastard, though it was also pretty late and I was exhausted. But then I kept thinking about it the next day, and certain parts kept playing themselves over and over in my mind. And really, I think that marks a good piece of fiction, fan or original.

I'm really surprised no one liked it! I thought it was an extremely nuanced, hard-hitting and beautiful piece of writing. I've reread it several times since I posted this entry, and you know what? I might just go read it again now.
