Since you are new to this community, I just wanted you to know that I don't think there is anything wrong in your request. It's just very slow here lately. Not many fans are answering right now so no one has recognized these fics, me included!
What I'm here to offer is Research Required by minddabbles. It is similar in plot to the first one that you asked for and I've enjoyed reading it very much.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I read it a long time ago, but the one you suggested is either the one I read or a clone of it from what I do remember. Excellent story, thanks for the rec.
