Did anyone, in the entire world, ANYWHERE, ever find that missing fic where Sirus says "loveyouloveyou" from the newspaper OR did anyone re-write this fic in desperation just so it would EXIST, dammit. There should be a fic writing STORY community thing JUST based around that story where everyone writes it in a hundred different ways. YAY.

Seriously my hunt for this fic is ridiculous. EVERYONE remembers it, but no one knows what it is! It's like some crazy X-Files episode! But I love your idea... If you wanna start one, just gimme a holler and I'll help ;)

I've been thinking of starting a community similar to a group on yahoo called adopt-a-fic. Basically people post fics that were abandoned and are picked up and lovingly finished by a new author or authors. I believe people can also post prompts. Anyway I thought this was a good idea but I've yet to find one on LJ.

There was r_s_plots, but it was deleted for some reason :(

Yeah, I remember that community existing. Wonder why it was deleted...?

black_squall- you should do that yahoo group! It's so sad when fics just...die.

I'm sad to say I've given up on the 'loveyou' fic. I searched the entire fanfic.net and various other archives, plus almost all of the remusxsirius community. The only possible story I could find (based on summary) no longer exists (the author deleted their journal), and even that seemed iffy.

That is a great idea... it just has to be written by someone.

As for your real request, I've never heard of that fic. I hope someone can help you though.

Entire fanfic.net. EEEK. Good on you! That's a big, sometimes very nasty task.

I should do it! This community. It must be done. Yep! And someone has recognised the lovely fic I was looking for so good good. :)

I think you’re looking for Hair of the Dog> by lacylu42. It’s still one of my favourite fics, as I love well-written (and low-rated) stories about the lost years.

Thanks so much! That's the one. Yeah, I really love it too. Generally, I'm not a huge fan of lost years fics because I just want them to be together. Heh. But there was something about this one that stuck with me...

:)

I am just sad. I looked at your icon (which I *love*), and started reading your post. It took three reads for me to realize you were not looking for a Hogwarts/Libertines crossover on albion_fic.

And sorry, I've no idea about the fics you're looking for, although I remember reading the loveyouloveyou one, and, yup, I have no clue either.

Oh no. I didn't mean to make anyone sad! Heh. That's really quite horrible. SORRY!

....and WHAT!?! There are Hogwarts/Libertines crossover fics??!! That is madness. Care to rec me some with Remus/Sirius or the whole gang of marauders?

And no worries for the fic I was searching for has been found again.

I agree. Hogwarts/Libs crossovers are mad. Totally insane. The three I've read were really bad, and they're all Harry-era anyway, so sorry, no recs from me.

Although, wouldn't a crack!fic between MWPP and Pete/Carl be FUN? *evil grin*

HAHAHAHAHAHA. And Pete would teach Remus about make up and Carl and Sirius would talk about leather jackets and they would exchange sex tips!! YAY. And there would be magic! Which R and S would teach P and C about. And they would be amazed.

I did a bit of a search for the 'loveyouloveyou' fic too.

I think it's gone. And I support your idea of different people giving it a go. At this point I think it's a better idea than actually finding the original. If memory serves me right...it was not that great of a story, but the ending was a stomach twisting, heart rending, blow of woe...which is why we remember and keep hoping to find it.

Yeah, I remember it as being one of those fics that I just liked certain bits of, particularly the "love you."

Ah, okays, that's interesting. So hey, hopefully if this community takes off then we will have a whole bunch of betterthanoriginal! fics, all featuring this amazing idea. Amazingly sad idea...awww.

Thanks for your input, you two! :)
