fic-related, mainly

So I hear that je_holiday community revealed something or other? XD I was responsible for what is in all likelihood the silliest of the lot, One Thousand and One Tokyo Nights, which is not in fact an Arabian Nights AU but just Yamapi and Jin being Very Silly. XD (Mild Pin, but nothing too alarming.) I had a lot of fun writing it -- as in, I sat down and blew ( Read more... )

I usually repost on my own journal just for archival purposes (plus sometimes when I get typos or mistakes pointed out to me I am anal enough that I want to go back and change it, so if it's posted by someone else I don't have that luxury). I always link to the original anon post when I repost tho; it seems like an important part of the fic's history (or something) that way?

I make no sense. XD

*nodnod* No, that makes sense -- I've never reposted before because I kind of like having that original post there, but when I just link to it I'm never sure if people might skim past the entry and not notice. (If I had a separate fic journal this would be easier. XD) You have a good point about the typos, too, especially as this time I know it applies to me, eep...

I just link to them but then I also (still, so old fashioned XD) have a fic site I put all my fic up on sooner or later, anyway.

Ooh, a Real Website! XD Those seem especially rare in jpop/kpop.

I started it back in ye olde days when people still had Real Websites, when I was in Buffy fandom. Nobody has them in jpop/kpop, it seems (except me and jain, of course).

Yep, posting for ficgames is done now. We figure people are starting to get impatient, and bar sending people threatening emails we figure there's not much else we can do. You guys will be getting reveals relatively soonish too :D

I tend to repost everything to the fic comm I share with other people so I don't have the issue of whether to report to my journal etc. But I always wonder if I should link to it in my entries, lol. So many questions!

Excellent! I was wondering about reveals but I didn't want to ask and sound greedy. ;)

Ah, but you do repost at your comm (rather than just putting a fake cut on the comm or something)? I see. And yes, if you have a separate fic comm/journal, there's always that -- on one hand, presumably people who want to read the fic will friend the journal; on the other, sometimes one is pleasantly surprised to find interesting fic after one has friended someone for non-fic related reasons. :)

We've finally made a post. I think it's about time we tell people who wrote who and who won :D

I do, yeah. Exactly! I'm always pleased to discover that people write under other names, especially if I've friended them for other reasons :)

I repost challenge fic, but only because I have a fic journal and like to keep track of everything there. If I ficced on my main journal, I'd just link to the comm. :)

That's always been my instinct! (Just to link, I mean.) Hmm...
