Recent comment exchange with rondaview re: David Silva prodded me to come back to this post I meant to make uh in May. the main thesis: David Silva Is Very Attractive, as illustrated by (mostly) recent pictures. Recent because I assume all interested parties have the older i.e. Valencia-era stuff; if that is not the case I am happy to make a second post.

naw, it's OK. It's just that Kolo particularly hurts, because he was so lovely and he seems to have gone off the rails entirely after leaving us. I mean, you don't want your favorites to be amazing after leaving your team, but you don't want them banned for drug offenses either. :/

oh mannnnnn. I mean, I'm only surprised because it seemed like Klinsmann becoming US boss was too obvious to happen, you know? Like it's been talked about so much it could never happen. Except now it has.

My worry is that, while he's got a lot of fantastic qualities, he's not so much of tactician, really, so I do want to see who he gets to help him for that. He crashed and burned hard at Bayern, but they've got such a weird culture there that it was kind of always going to happen. So, let's go with cautious optimism?

Yeah, it's been such a persistent possibility I sort of thought that if it were going to happen it already would have. I know all the speculation now is about who moderated their position, him or USSF... (Well, or more likely both.) Anyway, thank you, that's exactly what I was wondering about! :) I'll cross my fingers and watch with great curiosity.

i'm more of a Silva fangirl though, and i don't really consider myself a die-hard City fan, but i watch almost all of their games because of him

i really want Silva to win trophies at club level (the FA Cup was a good start), so if it means wishing City all the best, then so be it ^_^

Oh yeah, let's just say that a year ago - well, a year and a month ago or so - I never would have seen myself watching as many Manchester City matches as I ended up seeing over the last season... ;) I don't have strong feelings about any EPL team in particular so I'm just as happy to see them win trophies - and incidentally troll all of ontd_fb, ahaha - as anyone else.

(p.s. If you don't mind my asking, how did you happen to come across this post? :D I only have a handful of football friends on LJ so I was just wondering if it was linked somewhere or something.)

I mean, he gets it to look like this even during training, it has got to be something beyond human powers. As for the match experience, it will never blur in my mind ksd;jfaksdf. I mean the play itself was fantastic, especially for someone invested in seeing David Silva do well and thus prove he deserves his regular starting spot back. but also I went to the open training session, which was a lot of fun even though Spain purposefully trained on the opposite side of the field from the public seating area for the majority of the time. they did come over and drill in our half for a while, though. right in front of me, like mere feet away, no big deal.
