Dune: House Atreides

I have no time, and it sucks.

Finished reading Dune:House Atreides. I'll spare you a review; I'm frustrated. They need a fucking beta to 1) cut out the redundencies, 2) get someone to check on canon, god damnit!

Is Kevin Anderson one of the authors of "House Atreides?" I know he's collaborated on a few of those. I know a good friend of his and I could probably tell him to pass on the suggestion that they could use a better editor. I haven't read any of those yet, but have a feeling I'll need to when I finish "Chapterhouse."

Not for him, but he knows what Frank Herbert had planned for the Chapterhouse sequel. He's seen the notes, touched them maybe. *meeps* Yes, I am that big of a fangirl.
I can't believe it!

Well, they should work on things at least for the sequel. It'd jarr quite a bit with the original writing style.

Must think about it. Getting part 2,3 this weekend, hopefully. Bought the english version. Will never bother with translataions again.

Also, theoretically I'm fighting against a Dune bunny right now. Theoretically It's Duncan/Alia. I won't win against it so I might have to write it. Theoretically.

Yeah, my friend has known him for years- they met a long time ago in a writing class. I'd love to know all the stuff KA is privy to!

And translations just suck in general, I think. I'm always surprised when I get a good one. *g*

I'd love to theoretically beta your theoretical story! I love Duncan/Alia- all angsty and fucked-up. And hot too. *g*.

short version:

story is plotted. can't write because I can't see the page for the tears. will keep trying.

finished dune prelude books. have even more issues. will order "Butlerian jihad", though. damn addictions to hell and back. still don't like authors. am bitter.

oh, it's 2am. maybe I should go and say hello to my bed.
