Oh, you know, roller-coasterish. I seem to be a star in what would prolly be a highly rated soap opera if only it was filmed. I haven't been updating lj much the past few months, but the last few enteries should catch ya up in a jiffy.
Life is okay. I've got a job as the manager of a community center. It's not being a pastor, but I think I'll like it. The babies are doing well, both walking. Faith and I are coming up on two years. We had a date last night, which was nice and something that doesn't happen enough.
What are you up to now? Or should I wait for a post update?
Lost, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, Battlestar Galactica. I checked out that new series Daybreak that they're showing instead of Lost; it was better than I expected. I saw a few episodes of Heroes, but the storyline is pretty difficult to follow if you haven't been watching carefully. I want to watch more of 30 Rock and House, but I never get around to it.
Publishing, huh? What kind of publishing do you want to get into? Cuz if it's book publishing...my sister used to work at Penguin. If that's the type of publishing industry you want to get into, I'm sure she could help you out. I could ask her to give me the phone number for human resources that you could call. So if you're interested, let me know! :D
Hi! I caught a glimpse of you Homecoming weekend actually (from, like, across the quad). Are you ever in NYC?
I am trying to get into book publishing, actually. I'd also take a job in magazines, but I prefer books. So it would be great if you could talk to your sister for me. Where does she work now?
She used to be a production assistant for trade in mass market in Penguin Publishing, but later on quit so she could study for her LSATS and get into law school. Send my sister an email at novel16@aol.com (her name is Rosalinda) with what area in publishing you're interested in and include any questions you have, and she'll try to help give you some information. :D
I had no idea that you were in NYC! That's really awesome. Now I live in Jersey but I still visit the city whenever I get the chance (which will just be for this week, until I go back to Amherst...and then Christmas vacation 3 weeks later). How's life going for you?
Yup, I'm in NYC. Please feel free to get my number off of Facebook and give me a ring if you'd like to hang out. Life's going OK... a little boring, but mostly pleasant. How's sophomore year at Amherst?
