Back at Amherst now. Getting here was kind of eventful, in mostly bad ways. The first leg of my flight was pushed back 3 hours, which made me late enough to miss my connecting flight in Chicago-- just barely! I literally sprinted through the airport only to find that I was 3 minutes too late. I had to wait three hours for the next one, so I just ( Read more... )

Good story about Jake!!

One of the last times I was flying back to Amherst I saw John Leguizamo running out of the terminal.

I also was on a flight with Chris Klein and Tom Morrelo (sic) when coming home to LA for Spring Break one year.

Sorry we didn't get to hang out while you were around.

i always used to be disappointed that i never seemed to have as many celebrity sightings as did other people living in LA, but i'm satisfied now. if i never see another celebrity in LA again, at least i'll have seen my fav, jake gyllenhaal, and can verify that he is a real human being.

I probably should be jumping up for joy and screaming, "OH MY GOSH!," but I'm not. Could I be losing interest in him? Hell no. Could it be because I'm sick? Eh, maybe. I don't know. I mean I'm happy that you got to see him but eh.

Thanks for thinking of me, though. I feel honored that you had to call me.

Being short is an advantage in nearly all air travel situations.

Once, a couple of tall people in my life asked me, "I wonder what it's like to be short. Ashley, what's it like to be short?" I didn't know how to respond at first, since clearly I have nothing to compare it to, but then I responded, "Well, I can stand up in front of my seat on airplanes." They were incredibly wowed. Air travel is hellish for larger folks!

The retarded things is that the last flight I was on, I actually found the legroom situation pretty poor, which makes me wonder how people over 5' 4" do it.
