{As stated in this post, residents of the resort woke up from their previous frivolities to empty closets and dressers. The little thief was quite brilliant in her thieving, even stealing clothing away from some of the more..."frisky" residents during the luau.

Now, however, the clothing stores have reopened, but there's something quite wrong

Really? I wasn't all that keen on it when I was a kid. It took me a while to start liking it. I think I was in my late teens before it happened.
