Well, that vice is plenty versa. )
He chuckled at Faith's suggestion. "Yeah but then they might forget to get me clean sheets."

Or so you like to think, Soul Boy
"Lorne used to make me a Bloody Mary that was...really good," he responded with a bit of a crooked grin.

"So what do you think? Looking like you're outta luck here," she mentioned, nodding toward the "butcher's" area.

"It's alright. I'll figure something out and I can go days without feeding." It wasn't good for him and it made him a little crazy but he could go days. "Besides, I had the vampire equivalent of a power bar about an hour before I got here. I took a bite out of the Senior Partner's vessel."

Faith crinkled her nose at his last comment and tilted her head in confusion. "One of the evil law firm dudes?" She might be fishing again. It had been hard to hear the trickle of rumors that said he'd gone dark side. Faith didn't believe them mostly because she didn't want to.

He nodded at Faith's question. "Wolfram & Hart are run by the Senior Partners. They're like the Powers That Be's counterparts. I wanted to hurt them enough that they'd have to step back and give us a chance to clean things up a little. To do that, I had to get close and they had to trust me so...I let them think I'd seen their side of things. They assigned me this...Associate to 'help' me. He was a human vessel they created and gave a large portion of their power to. In his blood. I needed that power to hit them really hard."

She listened intently as they made their way back out of the shop, happy to hear the truth and not a little impressed with how far he went to get to those guys. Though, she was a little speechless as well. What all of that must have entailed, it couldn't have been a cakewalk. "Damn, Angel."

He looked over at Faith. "So how've you been> Before coming here I mean."

Which wasn't exactly the truth. Still, she considered the fact that there wasn't anymore blood on her hands a positive. Didn't matter that it sucked everyday. It was supposed to.

"Alright. You know if you need to talk or blow off steam..."
He let that lie because by now, Faith knew.

"You know how it goes. Anyway, mostly I'm not sure what to make of the island. You never heard of a place called Acairnia? Like, some hell dimension or whatever?" Change of subject, that would fix the problem. She'd noted some changes in herself that she didn't want to exactly bring up until they were into the conversation. He'd probably want to figure out what her limits were and be all mentor guy for her.

He shook his head at her question about Acairnia. "No but there hundreds, maybe thousands of hell dimensions. If I had a library...I might be able to find some information on it. I can't believe we can't rip our way out of here. Quar'Toth was supposed to be inescapable and Co-" he stopped and cleared his throat, remembering no one knew about Connor. "Uhm I've known a couple of people who managed to get out."

"Saw this little redhead trying to use some serious magic on the boundary. Didn't even scratch and she ended up on her ass. Angel, not to be all obvious-stating, but we're pretty much fucked."
