Tifa had said she was stepping out to take someone named Vincent a bit of breakfast, and neither Paine or Yamata were anywhere to be found, so Leon answered the door, smiling to see Aerith hale and hearty.

Although he was still tired, at least he was clean - white t-shirt and jeans, although he'd yet to pull on socks and boots. Plowing a hand through dark damp hair, he swept his arm and invited, "Hey, c'mon in. Tifa left the stuff out."

Indeed, the scent of warm bread and cooked sausage permeated the place, making his stomach rumble as he hadn't eaten yet, either.

[Ooc: LUCKY! My first day of the week, pout.]

"Thanks!" She beamed up at him and hopped up on her toes to hug him quickly before moving her sunglasses on top of her head and going on to the kitchen. "It's good to see you in one piece."

Taking a deep sniff of the incredible smells, Aerith grinned, her own stomach rumbling. She'd pretty much been existing on coffee throughout the long night, and once it was all over, sleeping had been a higher priority than eating. "Smells great. I didn't know Tifa was such a good cook!"

Leon hugged her back with a grin, closing the door and following her into the smallish kitchen.

"It really does," he agreed. "Um, I think Tifa put plates and stuff up there." Leon gestured to the top cabinets. "She cleaned out one of the shops with that stuff, so I'm sure we have anything we'd need."

Indeed, there was a still warm plate of scrambled eggs, toast, and a plate of circle sausages there on the stove. "And the orange juice," Leon finished, fetching the carton from the fridge.

Aerith stretched and grabbed two plates from the top shelf, carefully bringing them down, then set them down so she could grab a couple of glasses as well. Setting them down closer to Leon, she picked up the plates and began loading eggs, toast, and sausage onto them, making sure to leave enough for the others in the cabin.

Setting them down on the table, she sat down by the one with a smaller portion, figuring that Leon had been running himself ragged - he needed more food.

"Oh, this smells so good," she said, closing her eyes and inhaling deeply. "I owe Tifa a great big hug."

Leon in turn poured the juice, setting a glass in front of her before returning the carton to the fridge; he hated leaving cold drinks out to get warm.

Coming around the counter, he sat down across from her and paused for a moment, remembering the one who'd never be able to do this again. Leon sighed. But he didn't want to completely kill the mood, so he just shook his head and picked up his fork.

"Mm, it really does. And Tifa said she likes to cook, so for that I'm thankful. Get tired of the shops' 'processed' stuff sometimes." Swallowing a bite of sausage, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Granted, it's better than Cid's burnt biscuits."

The thought had crossed Aerith's mind too, and she paused, eyes closing, bowing her head slightly, sending a prayer to whoever was listening that wherever Revy was, she wasn't in pain, and she was at peace. Looking up, she smiled and picked up her fork, spearing a load of scrambled eggs.

"I don't really like nachos as it is, and having to eat them whenever I don't want to run back to my place is such a pain." She shook her head, grinning across the table at Leon. "I'm pretty sure that doorknobs and jam would be better than Cid's biscuits."

Leon chuckled appropriately; she was exactly right, at that. He wolfed down more scrambled eggs, thoroughly hungry. It'd been a long night.

"Well," he said after a swallow of juice, "their chili cheese fries are pretty good. Addictive, too." Blue eyes twinkled. "Have to start doing laps around the island to keep in shape."

Then he remembered. And became serious. "Oh. Sora and Kairi have turned up, too."

"Fatty." Grinning, she poked his leg under the table with her toe. "Not gonna fit in those jeans for much longer if you keep all that up." Aerith speared her sausage and ate it, before taking a swig of her orange juice.

At his words, though, her face grew concerned, and her green eyes sparkled with worry. "I talked to Kairi, but I didn't know Sora was here. Where is he? Is he okay?"

Leon refrained from sticking his tongue out at her, barely. "Gee, thanks." But he filched another piece of toast regardless.

"Yeah, he's all right. A little confused, but that's to be expected," he answered her about Sora. "And Kairi's here, so she'll keep him grounded a bit...I hope."

He sighed. "Well, at least we know their safe for now. ...but I bet Cid's going nuts..."

"Poor kids." Her face grew grave, and she absently twisted a curl around around her finger, considering their situation. "That means it's just him and Yuffie, and maybe Cloud every so often."

She thought about that.

"...oh, dear, he's not going to be happy with us when we get back." Mentioning Cloud reminded her, and she looked up, biting her lip. "Cloud's not here anymore. Yuffie told me."
