Now, it would have been awfully bad manners to turn up at this apparently not-such-a-stranger's room in little more than his swimsuit, which quickly set Sora barreling around his room in search of some of the other garments he'd acquired after his arrival. He'd never been one to pay particular attention to what he was throwing on -- after all, fiddling on with clothes was for girls -- so it was with worry-free, cheerful appreciation for his fun t-shirt and comfortable shorts that he put together his ensemble. The sunglasses, of course, sat perched on the top of his head and nestled nicely in his messy mop of hair, because only poseurs actually wore sunglasses indoors. Sora was anything but a poseur ( ... )

Marluxia stood and crossed the room quickly, opening the door to usher Sora inside. The child might suspect nothing, but Marluxia wasn't so naive. He was sure that Axel had it in for him--he certainly had at one point--and was probably still aiming to keep Sora out of Marluxia's hands. While the assassin might not have wanted to harm the boy for fear that he would lose usefulness, he also didn't have the best intentions in mind. With a driven little warrior like Sora under his control, Marluxia knew that few could stand against him ( ... )

Lips agape, Sora followed Marluxia through his green and growing cabin with none-too-well disguised awe and ... well. Awe. Sure, he'd seen a lot of things along the road on his search for Riku and Kairi, but this was just so pretty. How clever of him, to have managed to successfully grow plants indoors like that! He paid special attention to the ivy -- Sora liked Ivy -- and let his gaze linger on the rosebush in the corner. In fact, he was so taken with Marluxia's green fingers that he failed to notice the shattered chair nestled beside it in the corner; he only had eyes for the flora ( ... )

"Then I'll be right back." Marluxia swept out of the room and towards the kitchen to fetch a glass of water for Sora, leaving the boy in the sitting room with his plants. It seemed like they'd keep the boy suitably amused for a little while. The plants were still young and fragile, though, so Marluxia hoped that Sora would have the sense not to poke too hard at them. Given a few days, they would be hardy enough to survive in almost any condition, and strong enough to crush a man with ease.

Not that Marluxia was sharing that information with anyone yet.

Finding the glasses and water jug, Marlxua poured one for Sora and one for himself. His plan was coming together rather easily...
