lost - no spoilers

one thing that i have recently learned is that LOST is a series in which each episode really needs at least two watchings to fully comprehend everything that's happened. i think everyone is so gung-ho obsessive about solving mysteries that if nothing really huge happens, if nothing instantaneously blows their minds, they pass it off as a filler ( Read more... )

This is the first time I watched Lost live rather than on DVD and that fact that I couldn't pop another one in immediately and then go back and watch the whole season again the next day almost killed me.

It was definately an episode that was packed, but I'm not sure about the more metaphysical direction the show has been going in lately. I'm more of a sci-fi fan than a fantasy fan so I feel a little stressed about the situation. Until recently they've been very careful to insinuate that everything has an explanation that is not "supernatural." Jacob etc. has thrown me for a loop . . .

they've not only insinuated it... carlton cuse and damon lindelof have flat out said it. i think everything has been planned from the beginning... i think things are going to turn out less supernatural than they appear. i trust cc and dl. :-D
