The English Patient (Michael Ondaatje) does a lot of that. Very non-linear and tense-shifty.

It's been a long time since I read the book but if I remember correctly, Marabou Stork Nightmares by Irvine Welsh has constant switching between two or three tenses through the entire novel. Maybe not as celebrated as you may be looking for, though.
