LiveJournal community for people who like snow? Planet?

Edit: http://community.livejournal.com/applyingtograd/3893717.html

The first rule of i_like_snow's Poll Club is you don't ask why i_like_snow wants to know the answers to any of these questions.

Just hang on for the free toaster. It can't be far off, now...

I applied to Cambridge, and when I was given an interview I thought "wtf am I doing, I don't even want to go here", and I really bombed on my interview. I had a good time because I sort of said what I wanted, but it wasn't really related to the subject at hand. At all. My rejection letter was not a huge surprise.

Chock full o' nuts (and black pots masquerading as English majors).

Life expectancy of the post: another 48 hours, max.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that did that. Everyone else in my cohort applied to multiple programs. One applied to 17! I wonder how common this really is?

I only applied to one PhD program, but that's because I was convinced I would have to get my MPH first and then continue to the PhD afterward.

I also applied to only one graduate program. It was my top, and only, choice! I thought about other places, but I really didn't want to go to other places.
