It's classic good fun Doctorow, but note the points made in the comments on the post (numbers 9 and 10 in particular) regarding the even less substantive "legally-binding" basis of his response!

That's brilliant. These crazy EULA's at the end of emails are one of my pet peeves, so that anti-EULA statement is brilliant. I think I'll write out my own version (I don't want to break copyright), and start sending it back to anyone who sends me a crazy EULA email.
