I just finished up Stephen Fry's Making History last night. (I've decided to do more reading for fun so that I don't burn out. Last semester was rough.) Ha! Thanks. I've never read Making History, and your post got me thinking about rereading The Liar, so I went to look for it on the shelf and lo! Somehow someone here had acquired Making History also, so now it's up at the top of the stack. :)

My favourite bit in Making History is this bit:

"Say, stand the bollards yet in rows
Mute guardians of the contraflows?
Are there stabbings after dark?
