Others may (probably will) feel differently. And there were a lot of plotlines I did like. But the things I was crossing my fingers to have happen didn't, and the things I was all "if they actually do this I will cut a bitch" about, they did.
And thanks. I didn't make it, but I fell in love with it.
I didn't go in with any particular hopes or fears (really I haven't even thought about it since the last episode) but (now having watched) well, I can see where one might be upset.
On the bright side, though? Team Bennet. Matt remains a nice guy and a joy to watch. His glee at finally knowing something Bennet didn't was quite adorable.
...true. I must admit to not hating the Nathan/Linderman plotline (and squeeing slightly when I saw the ARG tie-in with L wanting Micah!). And Matt + Bennet still = awesome.
But that doesn't make up for getting predictable. All through the ZOMG-Peter's-dead-onoes! bits I was thinking "Okay, it's going to be like Claire's autopsy, the glass is still lodged in his head and he'll be fine. Someone just needs to take it out. Come on, silly family, stop trying to create pointless drama when everyone knows they won't really kill Peter (more's the pity)! Oh, now Claire's getting in on it. She'll know what to do."
Also, whyfor Sylar needed to find Isaac's address written down? What the fuck happened to photographic memory?
Oh, and I was kind of fond of Linderman too- especially the healing thing (though I kind of wish Heidi had appeared in the episode- they don't have to explicitly mention the implications of that power for her, but some reminder that she actually, you know, exists would be nice while Nathan is going through all this tormented personal conflict. Peter is NOT the only person he has to consider, asses. < /bitterness >)
However, that Ominous Music that kept playing every time Linderman said or did anything? Not only was it distracting, it actually kind of made me laugh.
Oh, the Bennet stuff. That was awesome and I need to track down the right gen writer and force them to give me Matt-Bennet-Ted Wacky Fanfic Roadtrip Adventures. If they can fit Hana into it somehow, so much the better.
Bossiness! Making angst-ridden supers live again! Gleeing at finally finding something Bennet doesn't know! My Parkmanlove has grown exponentially. And if the show ruins this, I'm just going to have to go back to SGA and only watch occasionally. Like, whenever Hana actually appears onscreen (my love for her no longer knows any bounds. I would totally watch a whole show just about her.)
I would kill to read some Matt-Bennet-Ted with all the hilarity and power-trips and sarcasm! It would make me so happy. I feel like I could love Hana if I had more of her, but I'm not big into the Heroes website (and therefore, the comics) so at the moment I am lukewarm.
*pokes*... the right gen writer, eh? Are you not a little tempted? Can I convince you somehow?
Really I only go there for the comics anymore, and that only because I find myself completely addicted to Hana, somehow. Seriously. I'm having cravings.
And that's why I must beg off writing the Roadtrip of Awesome myself. I'm getting over my mental block about porn by writing femslashy crossover crack about her. (Come on. You want to see her in the Matrixverse, admit it.)
Well, I've been saying for a while that if Isaac really died it would be way, way too predictable, remember? And the single biggest thing that this show had going for it was the unpredictability. On that note, I knew exactly what was going to happen in the dead munchkin plot almost as soon as he got the glass in his head.
Nathan/Linderman had its good points- well-acted, at least- but the Creepy Villain Music they kept playing every single time L was onscreen was just OTT and actually made me laugh. Not good. The music should help you think about the characters, not make you think about it instead.
The one thing I had no beef with at all, though- Matt/Bennet/Ted. Still the best team ever, and Matt's little gleeful "You didn't know that?!" was, perhaps, the single best moment of the entire ep.

And I've been looking forward to it all day. I haven't watched it yet.
:(
On a happier note, cute layout!

But the Linderman thing, the bits with Matt and sigh, Hiro, all ruled IMO. :)

Peter's... yeah. Like they would kill off Peter. Seriously. One of the things that always makes me love Heroes is that it doesn't spoon-feed me crap.
Usually.

Why yes, I do switch journals far too often.
