His words lingered in the air, and Alice felt her cheeks heat up as the implication of his words finally made itself known to her. However, that didn’t stop her heart from beating erratically, and she hoped that Ace wouldn’t notice her dark blush that decorated her face.
Ace, on the other hand, was smirking at her obvious reaction, which made him feel even more powerful when it came down to it. All it took was a few words that could be misconceived as something else to shut her up, and Ace had to admit that he would say it again if it meant she wouldn’t shout at him so often.
However, he was completely serious with his offer and if she wasn’t going to say anything, he was going to do as he said (he wasn’t one to make empty threats). If anything, he would make sure that he’d prove it with his body, at least.
