Notes: Nothing of importance...
#01 - Air: He could almost hear France saying that it was cliché for him to want his lover more than he wanted to breathe, but he couldn’t bring himself to care about that.
#02 - Apples: It was really difficult to bite into, but he forced himself to persevere, if only to prove to Ludwig that he could do something without needing help (and according to Ludwig, getting into trouble didn’t count.)
#03 - Beginning: He’d like to think that they first met during World War I, but he had the feeling that Germany was actually an amnesiac-he believed that Germany was Holy Rome.
#04 - Bugs: The lights were pretty-he was glad that he managed to convince Germany to come outside with him to stare at the fireflies.
#05 - Coffee: The bitter taste almost made him recoil in shock, but he kept the reaction under check-he wouldn’t want Italy to think that he failed in making a drink that was well-known in his country.
#06 - Dark: It was creepy-his Italy was standing over a body with a serene expression, and he found himself fearing someone who shouldn’t have been feared.
#07 - Despair: He watched in shock and agony as Germany was taken from him, and thrown into the Concentration Camps that his boos created for the non-Aryan races.
#08 - Doors: It was amusing, in a way, to watch the others speak of him as though he couldn’t hear through the door, but he was genuinely surprised to hear Germany defend him.
#09 - Drink: “Why did he throw a cup filled with liquid at me?”
#10 - Duty: He would protect Italy because that was what was asked of him-it didn’t have anything to do with the strange feelings he had for the other.
#11 - Earth: It was a weird thing, to feel the soil in his hand; it was weirder to find himself sleeping next to Italy on the bare ground.
#12 - End: Italy had seen that they would lose-right?-so he had abandoned him to face the failure by himself.
#13 - Fall: “An Empire so mighty,” Italy whispered, “Fell during World War I.”
#14 - Fire: It consumed them, but he didn’t care, as long as he was stuck with the stoic Germany.
#15 - Flexible: His eyes widened as he heard France ask Germany if he was flexible enough to do kinky things, but he quickly concealed his reaction and went up to the two (just to stop France from molesting what was his.)
#16 - Flying: As bad as Germany was during the World Wars, he can’t help but to feel happy as he remembered the times they were in planes (even if they were bombing England…)
#17 - Food: He’s never been as happy as now to take Germany’s sausages.
#18 - Foot: He watched the dogs attack Germany, only leaving his boot-clad feet visible in the pile of fur.
#19 - Grave: “War is a serious business, Italy.”
#20 - Green: He loved to watch Germany train because he got to see him in his green military uniform-he couldn’t wait to strip him of it.
#21 - Head: He felt Germany’s finger poke him in the forehead almost teasingly, and he returned a coy smile.
#22 - Hollow: “I don’t think there’s anything down there, Italy.”
#23 - Honor: He admired Japan-for he wouldn’t give up because of his pride-but he somehow ended up falling in love with Italy.
#24 - Hope: There was something in his eyes, a light, that made him reluctant to tell Feliciano about the death of his pet dog.
#25 - Light: He tentatively smiled back at Italy, and he felt as though there was nothing more pure than that.
#26 - Lost: “Italy, where’s the map?”
#27 - Metal: It was hard to ignore the bullets, but he managed with Italy-a day later, he found himself standing over his boss’ body.
#28 - New: He never personally met Germany, but he heard that the young country was making a name for himself.
#29 - Old: Compared to him, Germany was an infant that shouldn’t be touched by someone like him-he felt like a pedophile.
#30 - Peace: He just wanted a decade or two of not fighting-he didn’t want to be called almost every day to save Italy from some random object.
#31 - Poison: It was shocking to find Germany holding cyanide in his hand, and he found himself walking towards him, planning to take the object away from him.
#32 - Pretty: He heard Japan choke at his comment about how “cute” Germany was.
#33 - Rain: There was something about the way Prussia said it that made the idea tempting-he wanted to stand in the rain, and he wanted to have his first kiss with Germany there.
#34 - Regret: There are times that he hates the others who want to “help” him with his “problems”, but he’ll always regret snapping at Italy, who genuinely wants to help.
#35 - Roses: There are times that he sees England giving a rose to France, and he wishes Germany would give him one.
#36 - Secret: “There should be nothing between us.”
#37 - Snakes: It was a powerful thing, this sin, who was stated to be the original-envy-and he wanted to comply to its wishes and eliminate all his rivals for his affections.
#38 - Snow: It wasn’t shaved ice, it wasn’t ice cream for it was snow-Germany seriously wanted to facepalm at that moment (Italy had played the commercial to convince him to eat some).
#39 - Solid: He tried to punch Germany, for practice (as they’d agreed on), but he ended up getting hurt.
#40 - Spring: “Italia, why are the springs in my bed broken?!”
#41 - Stable: He often found himself surround by horses, whether it was in the stables or out in the yard, but he hadn’t been able to convince Ludwig to join him.
#42 - Strange: “How are those two able to love each other?”
#43 - Summer: “It’s time for ice cream, ve~”
#44 - Taboo: They both knew that neither should speak of it, but he was sometimes tempted as he saw that Italy wasn’t recovering from the incident.
#45 - Ugly: Sometimes, his inner demon would rear its evil head, and he’d snap, breaking everything in sight.
#46 - War: He found that he wasn’t meant to be on the battlefield-he’d just be an inconvenience for Germany.
#47 - Water: “Italy, I told you not to make pasta in the desert!”
#48 - Welcome: “Welcome home, Italia.”
#49 - Winter: He could only stare towards the east, hoping Germany was faring better than he was-he had to wait for him to return from the frozen lands that was Russia’s.
#50 - Wood: “This time, can you guys not break the doors,” England asked as he chastised Germany and Italy for their latest incident-they broke the door through means that should not be discussed.
