You know what I love most about this: the length of each section is in direct contrast to how much he cares about each woman--I doubt you meant to do that on purpose (or maybe you did, and I'm being insulting) but it's just wonderful.

Wow. This is just so great. I'm struck dumb for the moment. I will come back with more coherent feedback later!

Perfect title.

And it is fine by him, really, except later it pisses him off to no end that he can’t figure out just who played who in this twisted scenario.
I can get behind hate sex. But I think it always leads to what this sentence conveys. I wouldn't want that for Linc.

Maybe, after, they try to make it work. Build a life. Maybe he takes whatever hope he has left and takes a chance on her. Maybe he tries to move forward, her by her side.

Maybe it doesn’t even matter.
Hopeful and sad at the same time.

They’ll try to build something from nothing and get nowhere fast.
Surprisingly enough, L/S is my favorite part because out of all the scenarios, I can see this one happening exactly like this.

L/S was actually my favorite out of this, too, so I'm glad you liked that one the most. On the show, I feel blah about them getting together, but in fic I can't get enough.

Gretchen: I really love this because it feels so real. So in character, the brutality, the slight tenderness as he declares his hatred--just the generalized awesomeness of it all. Of course she says it never happened, but I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her. :D

Jane:
Lincoln is not surprised that Jane is as good at this as she is most everything else, and his hips meet hers with a genuinely frantic pace, eyes closed, and it shocks the hell out of him that he thinks of her the entire time instead of somebody else entirely.

This is just beautiful.

Sara:
So poignant. Certainly if Michael died, this would have happened. Also, I've always had a thing for Lincoln pinning Sara's arms up over her head.

It so would. They're so compatible that it's hard not to see that as a possible outcome. And I had no idea about the other part, but I'm glad I kept that in the story now!
