This is gorgeous and beautiful. I could point out a section that I liked the most, but then I would be pointing out the entire piece. I love that this has such a strength and quietness that matches with Alicia. I love that Owen is in this and there for her even though they don't talk about it at first. And I know most people don't like Peter, but I really think you nailed it with him saying that he hopes one day she understand he is sorry because that is Peter.

Also, I need to get some icons.

But more importantly: this was amazing and fantastic.

Ah! I'm glad you liked this. Alicia is my favorite and I always have this constant want to pay respect to just how awesome she is, so I'm glad this worked for you. Thanks for reading! And good luck finding icons. They're about as few and far between as fic!

Mmm, I already want to read this again.

his eyes full of all the promises he would whisper into her skin like a prayer when they were twenty-three and didn't know how to keep them.

That line made me catch my breath. So lovely.

Guh. This is so gorgeous and raw and honest. You did each one of the characters justice, especially Alicia in her quiet strength and the relationships she has with the men in her life -- even Zach.

This is fantastic.

Eventually the truth fights its way to the surface like it so often does and that single lie, that single moment in their large, expansive history changes absolutely everything. The carefully mended thread that had been holding their lives together frays at the ends before coming completely undone.

The fight, the constant struggle comes to a quiet, peaceful end. Alicia is too exhausted from the battle to even attempt to put the pieces back together again.

Lovely. Thanks for this.
