I really enjoyed this story. I appreciate that you stayed true to the Lois and Clark relationship in s4 and how you touch on the beginnings/hints that the writers showed us. It felt honest to the story we've seen and without taking away from their future story - when everything else develops.

The last line was just so brilliant and so echoed Lana's statement of "the best ones always start that way."

Just one tiny nitpick - the bolding of the body of the story was a bit much for my eyes this early in the morning.

Splendid! I liked how you wove in little elements throughout this story -- Lois' persistence (going back to her essay), her snarkiness (and the self-awareness to muzzle it on occasion) and her internal monologues when she thinks things she'd never say.

Great ending!

Now that really got to my Clois shipper heart...awe. I love that you still played with the idea of the Clois pairing but didn't put them together. I usually find that banter can be more interesting than a quick kiss and make up kinda story. :) And you did it true to character. :D Hey didn't you just start watching it again after ages? :) You've got into the swing of things perfectly. :D

I LOVE that he sent her cookies and brownies. Aww, I could kiss that farmboy if he sent me an empty box. ;) And the note...lol, so simple but there's that underlying current there...

I love the odd silence and difficulty they had speaking on the phone. The Lois pov thoughts are so great coz I love seeing it from her cynical viewpoint-she rocks.

Yay! Another great Clois story to add to the sad lack of Clois fics out there. ^_^ This was a really great, believable veering off from S4 canon, with lovely, on the spot Clois interaction. I love the way you've painted Lois's time in college - her cynical, scoffing observations about her room-mate while caring/putting up with her at the same time, going to drink at parties, being alone and realizing that somehow she misses SV and a certain annoying person back there. ;) The fudge brownies were a great little device that kept popping back up throughout the story together as a reminder of him. *lol* I especially liked the last part where she finally calls him and you gave a wonderfully accurate picture of the way Clois behave with each other, and how Lois sees him.

I hope to see more fics from you. ^_^ Excellent job!
