This is great! I really like the tone, it certainly sounds the way that I imagine Damian's thoughts, and you pinned his difficult situation *very* well. Wonderful little drabble, keep writing! ^_^

Ah, Damian is such a wonderful character to play with! Well, actually, most of AB characters are, and I think that's what I enjoy the most about the whole series. Especially after the latest books... I mean, the characters have grown, though the plots have gone south in some cases...
