It must be wonderful to have such visually detailed dreams and to dream so vividly about one of your own characters. I rarely get much memorable visual detail in my dreams. I find though that it is random naps that can sometimes produce the best dreams.
The only bad part about dreaming about some of my characters is that my one villain shows up sometimes and complains about how I'm writing him. I apparently make him "look bad"...and he's a complete jerk, so I don't think I could ever make him look all that good. In the dreams that guy has pushed me into shrubs or roughed me up a little, and then threatens me with rape or injury. I guess it keeps me on track with writing his parts though.
That sounds scary, your villain has certainly taken on a life of his own - don't let him intimidate you into making him look good! So far my characters have merely haunted my daydreams.
