(Seohyun)
She hadn’t considered the fact that maybe she would end up liking him.

Ever since debut, Seohyun had gotten used to her members nagging her to pick an ‘ideal type’, thinking it unnatural for a girl not to like guy. So she settled for one Johnny Depp after watching ‘Finding Neverland’ and soon she found herself thinking that her future lover had to fit such a description.

But when she got stuck with Jung Yonghwa from CN Blue in ‘We Got Married’, she never thought that she would see a Johnny Depp in him.
                              She never did.

No one pegged Seohyun for the type that would like a guy so easily, not after years being in the music industry and surrounded by Super Junior and DBSK oppas and being doted on by Jungmo from Trax and still showing zero affection. The most affection she displayed was to her Unnis in SNSD who doted on her, especially Hyoyeon, who treated her like her own sister. Jung Yonghwa just seemed to be a little too far-fetched for SeoHyun.

Yonghwa could not be described in a single word. For that word changed every time Seohyun met him. The word never had anything to do with how good-looking he was or whatever, because Seohyun was never preoccupied with looks. She was more concerened about character and heart-that was how she was brought up.

And she used these words such that she could understand the complexities of the unknown species: men.

The word was first amusing, because he made her guess who her husband was. Wouldn’t he feel hurt if she had not picked him? Why did he put himself in a position like that then… Besides honestly, she did use eenie meenie minie moe to be fair.

Then it changed to complicated, because she did not understand why he kept laughing at the way she spoke and her mannerisms. Was it funny? It was rather insulting to say the least, and the sweetpotato meter just fell by abit.

But sometimes it was talented, especially when he played an instrument, or did something that showed off his prowess. Though Seohyun was always amazed at Yonghwa’s skills, she never really knew how to express herself-not like it seemed to faze Yonghwa-or so it seemed.

Or sometimes he was dedicated, especially when she gave him books to read, or projects to do and he did it wholeheartedly.

Her favorite word was sincere, when he lost the ring and apologized through photobook. It was such a foreign concept to her, and childish, to say the least. A photobook? A grade three student could do that! Yet the messages and the heart put into making something like that made her feel, well, strange. That word seemed to compliment sincere a lot.

But now, she does not understand why her favorite word would change, nor does she understand the meaning of this new word. She tries, but she can’t because this is the first time she is feeling it and decides that it must be a biological reaction to prolonged interaction with another party, reducing it to a science.

Until Hyoyeon asks her “do you love him?”

Seohyun never asked herself that question like that before and it finally hits her that maybe, she does actually love him.

And she makes up her mind that she does not have to see a Johnny Depp in him. Cause Jung Yonghwa was his own kind of Johnny Depp.

(Yonghwa)
He understands that he must maintain some degree of professionalism when he meets girl groups, but Jung Yonghwa is after all, a man. And denying himself the pleasure of oogling at women is a cardinal sin.

When he is offered a casting in “We Got Married”, he secretly hopes that his wife will be hot and pretty and that his members will be jealous of him when they find out.

He is midway between wanting his ‘ideal type’ as his virtual wife, and just someone that is good on the eyes because he thinks that he can just do whatever he wants now, because they are not really married. So when he sees Seo Joohyun from SNSD walk through the doors of the broadcasting station, his breath gets caught in his throat for a second before he hyperventilates himself into lucidity.

But she is completely the opposite from what she expects.

Seohyun does not know it but for every word she gives Jung Yonghwa, he has one for her.

She is first, cute, because of her chubby cheeks and happy-go-lucky persona, he decides that maybe she is the ‘ideal type’ kind of wife, with the plus of being quite hot, to say the very least.

Then, he finds her kind of odd, well, unlike any other girl that he has ever known because she insists on wearing a seatbelt in the car and shouts out ‘sweetpotato’ randomly. He is most surprised when she shows interest in wanting to learn the guitar as well, because no girl in her right mind would want to subject her fingers to calluses and chipped nail polish.

He finds her determination rather funny, because she insists that she isn’t all that frail and can in fact, carry him a certain distance. So when he jumps onto her, he is half afraid that her reed thin legs will belt under his weight. And when she insists that they can make kimchi for the members despite their umpteenth failure and severe saltiness that would be sufficient to make a two-year-old boy’s hair fall out, he makes up his mind that he will be determined along with her because it seems to work out when she is like that. So somehow, the CN Blue boys think that the kimchi is not as salty as their taste buds tell them it is.

But the best word to describe Seohyun is, to Yonghwa, oblivious. Because even if she hits a brickwall and sees the fact dance in front of her buck naked and screaming at the top of its lungs, she does not see that she does in fact love Jung Yonghwa.

Because one thing is for sure. That he does, love Seo Joohyun, and he doesn’t give a damn what the fans or his colleagues tell him about getting into a relationship.
