I've Got the Power!

Oct 19, 2008 18:33

Yes!

Who knew?  I have the power to make suburban women cower and run like their drawers are on fire, seeking the safety of their suburban homes.

And all I have to do is to walk down their street on a sunny Sunday wearing an Obama '08 t-shirt with a clipboard in my hand.

LOL.

I swear...best laugh I've had all day.

people, annoyances, politics, silliness

based on the reaction from people (formerly) on my friend list, I'm convinced that most white people in Michigan are scared of anyone who is not....

you know...the fact that you have made that assessment is so very very sad.

....but I would venture to guess that it's true more often than I care to acknowledge.

maybe they just think only white guys have the skills to "lead"

Either that or they believe that the "others" just can't do a damn thing right.

And if they did, it's because they cheated.*

*See McCain on Obama's September donation figures.

Ya know, for some real, that doesn't really surprise me?

I would imagine, that upon seeing a woman wearing an Obama t-shirt with a clipboard with be viewed as an ultra liberal feminist with an agenda!

The thing is, I was in a very conservative old money neighborhood that is currently experiencing a LOT of tension with the election. It is literally neighbor vs. neighbor judging by the roughly 50-50 split of yard signs...and there are tons of them.

I just didn't expect them to scatter like roaches. You'd think they would have stood their ground.

so were you canvassing for Obama or just randomly walking down the street with a clipboard?

Your crazy Marnie tidbit for the day. I woke up early to watch Meet The Press because I wanted to see for myself (and avoid the internet) what Powell was gonna say. And now, from getting up way too early, I still feel like I'm gonna die, hahaha.

Also, I saw "W" over the weekend. CP was the only one that came out looking good. Although, truly, I have more respect for Bush 41 than I previously had.

Another odd tidbit based on last paragraph. So, if the proper terminology is Bush 41, Clinton 42, and Bush 43, you can imagine how much this sentence scared me.

... Palin, 44, appeared on Saturday Night Live last night...

Oh no! Obama is 48!

Hey!

Yeah, I was knocking for Obama today.

...Palin, 44, appeared on Saturday Night Live last night...

Girl! Don't even go there! Not even in your darkest, creepiest, scariest nightmare.

You know Canada is just a 5 minute drive for me right? I've got a feeling that bridge is gonna be backed up if this thing doesn't shake out the right way on Nov. 4!

Heh, I'm not even sure it'd be legally allowable for her to run top of ticket if something happened, I just had to share the scare, lol. It's near Halloween, right?

Screw Canada, I've got Drano. But seriously, I really need health ins and hate the sun, I should go.

Excuse me, I have to go youtube searching for Biden telling Palin to fuck off in his own little way... her new fuck up is that she said she's "proud to be in Pro-America areas" at her rallies in the cities she decides to go to.

Because, other areas... you know.... in America, aren't Pro-America. Palm to the face!

Nice!

I really am starting to warm up to Biden and I am liking him more and more as weeks go by. There's something about him that makes me think he can be a real asshole when he wants to be..and Obama's gonna need someone to wear the asshole hat.

It almost makes me glad that NZ elections are possibly the most boring elections ever. (Seriously, the biggest scandal so far is that the current prime minister's campaign boards have been massively photoshopped)

LOL @ Photoshop Scandal!

That's awesome.

Yeah, come to America. We have more scandals than you can shake a stick at.
